This Sunday - Illini Judo Midwest Championship

North/South Judo Tournament Dates

Team,

Attached to this note is the flyer for the 2016 North/South Judo Tournament. This is one of the events, which Hollis Park, ALWAYS, attends! In the appended message, Sensei Shepherd is recruiting team players to represent the Southern contingent. We have several players (Blaine, Aaron, Stefan, Will, Alex, Ian, Coop and Tyler to name a few), who I would, really, enjoy seeing on the Southern Team. Do we all understand what I’m saying here?

Start training!

Exchange Student Judo Class

Hi folks,

Canton YMCA Judo is once again hosting a special class for the Canton Rotary foreign exchange student Fun Weekend event on Saturday, March 12 at 10:00AM.  As before, I'm asking for the loan of your spare gi's in sizes 3 to 5 (or 6?) in standard sizing (old HSU, etc.)  Toraki sizes would probably fall between 2 and 4 or so.  If you have gi's that you can loan for this event it will be most appreciated.

For Hollis Park players, I'll be attending your class on Thursday, March
10 to pick up gi's, so if you can bring them to class that night I'll get them then (or if you can't make it that night, you can no doubt make arrangements with Coach George to drop them off earlier.)

For my players, let me know what you have in advance, and you can simply bring gi's with you to class on the 12th.

And of course, you're all invited to attend our class that morning.

It's always a fun time for all, and the exchange students are great to work with.  If you plan to come, try to arrive by 9:30AM if possible.

We'll be meeting first inside the South entrance to the YMCA to distribute gi's, then moving to the tennis courts where we hold class.

The YMCA is located at 1325 E Ash St, Canton, IL 61520.

Thanks so much for your support, and I hope to see you at our class!

Best,

Mitch
